Retracting tube samplers
Samplers for free flowing materials such as granules, powders, flakes or pellets.
To obtain a sample, the Sentry retracting tube sampler’s air cylinder moves a sample probe into the process stream. The sample is captured from the process through the aperture in the sample probe. The material sampled is discharged by gravity to a collection point. Material characteristics are not affected by the sampler because no moving parts convey the sample material to the sample container. After taking the sample these samplers retract the tube from the line to avoid any restriction in product flow.

Retracting tube samplers with auger
Samplers for non-free flowing materials such as moist or sticky granules, powders, flakes or pellets.
To obtain a sample, the Sentry retracting tube sampler’s air cylinder moves a sample probe with an auger inside it into the process stream. The sample is captured from the process through the aperture in the sample probe. The auger transports it to the collection point where it is discharged. Material characteristics are not affected by the sampler because no moving parts convey the sample material to the sample container. After taking the sample these samplers retract the tube from the line to avoid any restriction in product flow.
For pressurized process lines
R Sampler
-Full isolation between process and sample container at all times
-Pressure rating 2.1 barg (up to 6.9 barg optionally)
-Max volume per stroke approx. 24 cc
-Options include:
-Atex rated models
-variety of sample strokes to fit the needs of your process line
-line adapters
-different container types
-optional materials of construction and seal choices
For non-pressurised process lines
RB Sampler
-During sampling an there is an open connection between the process and sample container
-Sample volume per stroke is determined by sample time
-Options include:
-Atex rated models
-variety of sample strokes to fit the needs of your process line
-line adapters
-different container types
-optional materials of construction and seal choices
Fixed volume retracting tube samplers
Sampler for taking a fixed volume of sample from from gravity applications. Products such as granules, powders, flakes or pellets.
To obtain a sample, a pneumatic cylinder extends the sample tube and into the product stream while the sample cup is down. The rotary actuator rotates the tube so the cup is in the up position and collects the sample. The tube retracts, rotates and drops sample into container.
RPG Sampler
-Sample volume: Can be made to order. Standard 25cc.
-Max particle size: 6 mm
-Recommended sampler location: gravity spouts, hoppers or transfer chutes
Auger sampler
Sampler for taking a sample from from hoppers or gravity applications. Products such as granules, powders, flakes or pellets.
The sample probe and auger remain within the product stream. To obtain a sample, the Sentry B1 sampler first cleans out the sample tube by running the auger in reverse, purging product back into process. before running the auger forward to draw a sample. The sample probe remains within the product stream, and the sampler is easily removed and disassembled for cleaning between product runs as needed.
B1 Sampler
-Fixed volume of 40 or 50 cc per sample cycle
-Max particle size 16 mm
-Process pressure up to 5 barg (with pressure seals)
-Process temperature: -40°C to 302°C
Options:
-Process connection: Tri-clamp, instrument hub, bolted hub, flanged
-Seals: polyurethane, EPDM rubber or custom
Isolok plunger bulk solid samplers
Samplers for taking a fixed volume of sample from from hoppers or gravity applications. Products such as granules, powders, flakes or pellets.
To obtain a sample, an air cylinder extends a single plunger into the process material letting a fixed amount of sample get trapped between the plunger seals, then withdraws from the proces and let the sample drop into the sample container. Process or flow ports are always closed, preventing leaks or product loss. There are no tubes or passages to become clogged. The gravity-discharged sample is transferred directly to a closed container.
